Dreaming of your first 6,000 metre summit? Khosar Gang (6,046 m), right above Skardu, is one of the best places in the Karakoram to start. It is close, it has a clear route, and it gives huge views across the range.

The route
The climb goes through Base Camp at 3,800 m, Camp 1 at 4,800 m and Camp 2 at 5,200 m before the summit push to 6,046 m. The full trip is 14 days from Islamabad to Islamabad.
Guides and safety
We keep a strong guide team on the mountain: one guide for one or two climbers, two guides for three to five climbers, and three guides for six to nine climbers. Our guides set the pace, check the weather and make the summit decisions with safety first.
Who is it for?
Khosar Gang is for fit trekkers who have walked at high altitude before and want to try their first big peak. Basic crampon and ice axe skills help, and we can practise them on the mountain.
