About Skardu Valley

Skardu is a town in the region of the same name in Gilgit-Baltistan, Pakistan. Skardu, the capital of Baltistan is perched 2,438 meters above sea level in the backdrop of the great peaks of the Karakorams. Balti people are a mixture of Tibetan and Caucasian stock and speak Balti, an ancient form of Tibetan. Due to the similarity of its culture, lifestyle, and architecture with Tibet, Baltistan is also known as the "Tibet-e-Khurd" (Little Tibet). It borders the Chinese province of Xinjiang and Ladakh. The tourist season is from April to October. The maximum temperature is 27 C and the minimum (October) 8 C. Apart from its incomparable cluster of mountain peaks and glaciers Baltistan's five valleys, - Shigar, Skardu, Khaplu, Ronda, and Kharmang are noted for their luscious peaches, apricots, apples and pears.

Day 1Rawalpindi/Islamabad to Chillas

Skardu Tour package shall start from Rawalpindi to Chilas. We shall stay at Chilas after a long journey. A good family hotel is offered for an overnight stay.

Day 2Chillas to Skardu

We shall leave the hotel early morning and move from Chilas to Skardu via Karakoram Highway. Within 7 hours drive, we shall reach Skardu City. Overnight Stay in a good family hotel.

Day 3Kharpucho Fort / Skardu fort / Sadpara Lake

Skardu tour package shall involve us seeing Kharpucho Fort, an ancient Skardu fort. Then we shall move towards Sadpara Lake.

Day 4Skardu city to lower Khachura

DiscoverKarakoram shall escort our customer from Skardu city to lower Khachura (Shangrila Resort) for an overnight stay. We shall stay at night in the beautiful Shangrila Resort.

Day 5Shangrila to upper Khachura

Visit Upper Khachura presented its 20-minute walk from Shangrila Resort to upper Khachura, a beautiful lake Upper Khachura lake; stay overnight in Upper Khachura

Day 6Skardu to Khaplu

Khaplu Fort is our next destination, so we move from upper Khachura to Khaplu Fort. It is 100-kilometer away from Skardu city. Overnight stay in a good hotel.

Day 7Khaplu to Shigar

We shall visit Shigar Fort from Khaplu. In the evening, we shall return to Skardu City.

Day 8Skardu to Deosai

Deosai National park is a fantastic gift of God. Deosai national park is the second highest plateau on earth, so we shall like to show you Deosai national park.

Day 9Skardu to Chillas

Reach Skardu to Chillas in 9 to 10 hours via Karakoram Highway.

Day 10Move toward Islamabad

Breakfast for 13 hours. Journey via Babausar Top or Karakoram Highway for the End of the Tour towards Islamabad.
