The Charakusa valley above Hushe is famous among climbers for its granite towers and the peaks of K6 (7,282 m), K7 (6,934 m) and Link Sar (7,041 m). The trek goes from Hushe to Saicho and up the Charakusa Glacier to the meadow of Spangser at about 4,300 m, the base camp for many expeditions. It is a short and spectacular trek with no technical sections.

Day 1Arrive in Islamabad (540 m)Airport pick up and transfer to hotel. Evening briefing. Overnight in hotel.

Day 3Skardu: rest and preparationSpare day for flight delays, gear check and a visit to Skardu bazaar or Shigar Fort. Overnight in hotel.
Day 4Jeep from Skardu to Hushe (3,050 m)About 6 hours by jeep along the Shyok river and through Khaplu into the Hushe valley, the home village of our guides and porters. Overnight in camp.
Day 5Hushe to Saicho (3,350 m)About 4 to 5 hours to the green campsite at Saicho. Overnight in tent.
Day 6Saicho to Spangser (about 4,300 m)Up the Charakusa Glacier to the meadow camp at Spangser below K7. Overnight in tent.
